February is National Heart Month. Do you know your risk factors for Heart Disease?
Heart disease is the leading cause of death for adults. About 2,300 Americans die of Cardiovascular Disease every day. That’s every day – not per month or per year – that’s per day. About 1 person dies of heart disease every 38 seconds. But the American Heart Association advises that about 80 percent of cardiovascular diseases could be preventable with education and action.
Making healthy choices in the foods you eat and exercising regularly can improve your heart health and lower your chances for heart disease.
The American Heart Association has some Healthy Heart Quizzes you can take to learn more. You can also find some great tips and information in the AHA Newsroom.
