For courses that require books the cost of the book is included in the course charge
unless a non-book option is selected when registering for the course. Books are available
for local pick up in the Seacoast Area or at the location the course is being held. The option
to mail a book is available for an additional charge to offset the cost of postage.
The book options listed below are for mailing the book out ONLY. This is for individuals
who have already registered and paid for their course. If you have not signed up for a course please
do not pay to have a book mailed as the charges listed below are the costs for me to mail the book. If
you want to purchase a book without registering for a course you can do so through the Authorized
American Heart Association Distributors listed at the bottom of this page.

Highlights of the 2010 Guidelines

This is the Highlights of the 2010 Guidelines change. This document explains some of the new changes
and summarizes the key issues in the 2010 Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and
Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC). It is linked here as a way to assist students who are attending classes
that are being held before the release of the new training materials (slated for March-April 2011)

BLS for Healthcare Providers:
Please download or read sections dealing with major issues, healthcare provider BLS, electrical therapies,
stroke, pediatric BLS and ethical issues.
Heartsaver CPR/AED or First Aid courses:
Please download or read sections dealing with major issues, lay rescuer adult CPR, ethical issues, First Aid.
