CPR for New & Expecting Parents
Are you expecting or have a young infant at home? Would you like to take a CPR or First Aid class, but
aren't comfortable finding or leaving your infant with a sitter?
CPR for New & Expecting Parents is a CPR for Family & Friends class that is tailored for new and
expecting parents and caregivers. Classes are offered at a different time and day each month to provide
schedule flexibility. Accommodations are made in the class for expecting parents to make learning a
life-saving skill a comfortable experience. Parents and caregivers of young infants and children can
bring them along to the class. Breaks are taken as needed for nursing mothers, diaper changes and tending
to the needs of our children. Course information includes infant, child & adult CPR, using an AED,
relief of choking for infants, children & adults, child car seat safety, and several first aid topics.
This program does not lead to CPR or First Aid certification, but is designed specifically for new parents
to be prepared for what to do in an emergency.

Mommy and Me Courses
Mommy and Me courses are designed for parents and caregivers of young children who would like to take a
CPR or First Aid course but find scheduling and arranging childcare difficult. Courses are designed for
parents to bring their children along with them! The equipment used is durable and child-proof. The
CPR mannequins have held up well to being jumped on by a 3-5 year old and crawled on by an infant.
Previously these courses were held as private in-home classes only. Coming this fall I am now offering
this course at either your home or in a child-friendly location! Contact me to discuss what type of
class you would like to take and we can arrange the class you need while your children join in along with
us, or you can check the course calendar to see when the next class will be
held. Members of the Seacoast Mother Association receive a discount on classes.
